Frequently asked

Questions, answered.

Most of these come up in the first five minutes. Here they are.

Can I pick the gift?

+

No. That is the point of Gifter. You choose the person, your budget, and your gifting style. A real human at Gifter chooses the actual object.

Is this AI-generated?

+

No. Gifts are selected by real humans. Cards are written by real humans. No algorithm picks anything. No language model writes anything.

Will the recipient know I used Gifter?

+

Yes. Gifter is transparent. The gift comes from you, through Gifter. We don't pretend you personally wandered through an antique mall and found it yourself.

Do I get to see what was sent?

+

Yes. After the gift ships, you receive an email with the gift description, card text, and tracking information.

Will two people get the same gift from me?

+

No. We track your gift history. No two recipients get the same gift from you.

Where do gifts come from?

+

Artisans, antique shops, vintage finds, upcycled goods, small-batch home goods, unique gadgets, and other real-world sources. We do not source from Temu, Wish, or similar ultra-cheap marketplaces.

What if I love picking gifts?

+

You may hate this. Gifter is for people who want to give gifts but do not want to choose them.

Can I cancel a queued gift?

+

Yes — we send a reminder one to two weeks before each gift goes into curation. You can pause or cancel anytime before then.

How does pricing work?

+

A flat monthly service fee based on how many people you want to gift — starting at up to 10 contacts and scaling to unlimited. On top of that, you set a per-gift budget (split evenly across every event, or customized per contact). The per-gift budget is billed at fulfillment, only when a gift actually ships.

Can I give different people different budgets?

+

Yes. Set one default budget that applies to every event, or override it per contact — bigger for your mom, smaller for a coworker. We respect the override for every future occasion.
